About Me

I am very passionate about positive social change and community work. All through college, I was so active in my community, but once I became a teacher, it seemed more difficult to find the energy after a long week of teaching. Now, I've settled into my teaching career, and am excited to start again. I think there is so much work to do, and I hope together we can make things more peaceful and sustainable.

Why I Love Hawaii

I was born and raised in Boston, but moved to Hawai'i 5 years ago. I met my husband here, and now have a great excuse to never leave! =) Hawai'i has such an incredible spirit about it, which I have not found anywhere else. People are kinder, and things move a bit more slowly. I appreciate the beauty, the culture, and all the great friends and people I have met.

Interests

Zen, writing, volunteering, thinking, body boarding, hiking, traveling, movies, spending time with family, friends, and my dog, Nehu.
